Proof of Increasing Rate of Natural Disasters

More evidence that the Apocalypse is near at hand:

Increasing Rate and Severity of Natural Disasters

We are all at least vaguely aware that the rate and severity of natural disasters has seemingly accelerated.

Some wonder if this perception is nothing more than increased exposure and exaggeration of natural disasters, fueled by the explosion of 24-7 media outlets starved for content.

That is a justifiable theory regarding the rapidly increasing rate of natural disasters.

However, I have never felt that the rate and severity of natural disasters is simply an exaggeration of the media. And I recently found proof:

Proof that Natural Disasters Increasing in Frequency and Severity

I recently had an interesting conversation with an insurance agent, who told me something downright terrifying.

Scary Fact of the Day: Since insurance statistics were first tracked in 1953, the single worst year EVER in history for insurance claims (adjusted for inflation) was 2008.

So in the 55 years from 1953 to 2008, there was NEVER a year with as high of insurance claims as was experienced in 2008 (again, adjusting for inflation).

That in and of itself would be scary enough, but it gets even worse.

2008 was the worst year for insurance claims (due in large parts to the increase in rate and severity of natural disasters) ever…until it was passed up in 2009.

So in 55 years, from 1953 to 2008, the WORST year for insurance claims was 2008. And it only took 1 more year to beat that record.

Pretty scary, huh?  Well it gets worse.

2009 was the worst year for insurance claims worldwide in history (since 1953) after nudging out 2008 – a dubious record that stood clear until it was beaten again in 2011.

So let’s make sure you have this straight.  Since 1953, the 3 WORST years for disasters, as measured by inflation-adjusted insurance claims, happened in a four-year period from 2008-2011.

And it doesn’t end there. As further evidence that natural disasters are exploding in rate and severity, the insurance agent states that 2012 is expected to absolutely BLOW 2011 OUT OF THE WATER, and become the new record year for insurance claims.

He cited various disasters in 2012, but most notably Superstorm Sandy, which caused still untabulated billions of dollars of damage.

These interesting statistics provide concrete, quantitative evidence that natural disasters are happening more frequently. It really isn’t just a “feeling”. It is fact.

Whether you believe it is due to global warming, God punishing the wicked, evidence of the moon getting too far away from the earth, or just more signs of the impending Apocalypse, we now have quantitative proof that the rate and severity of natural disasters ARE increasing.

So knowing this, how do you protect yourself and your family? How do you make sure that you are as ready as you can be for the next Superstorm, earthquake, or monster tornado?

Well, you should start by watching this video so you are ready for the first 40 days after disaster, since as people on Staten Island and other places found out (the hard way), the U.S. Government is NOT efficient or effective at rescue efforts.

If extreme natural disasters strike, there is a very high likelihood that you will have to take care of yourself for up to 40 days. And the first step in doing that is to watch this video for some ideas.
