GPS Navigator Review #2 - Magellan eXplorist 710 Waterproof Hiking GPS

Magellan eXplorist 710 GPS Navigator

The second selection of the 3 best GPS Navigator Reivew is from the popular Magellan brand. The eXplorist 710 model is a step about all of the other Magellan models, and most of the Garmin models (except for the #1 selection above).

This GPS navigator is incredibly rugged, has a 3″ touchscreen, and is water proof. The unit has a 3.2 megapixel built-in camera, a microphone and speakers, and a complete variety of maps.

The Magellan eXplorist 710 Waterproof Hiking GPS might have been #1 on this list, were it not for one key component of this GPS navigator review – Price.  While it is technically a better device, it is also about $100 more expensive than the Garmin 62S unit featured above – meaning that while a “better” device, it is less “valuable” and slides down the review scale.
